Illinois Park and Recreation Assocation

Park, recreation, and conservation agencies must compete with the private sector for top talent while combating perceptions about lower pay and limited career potential. Illinois Park and Recreation Association (IPRA) saw a creative opportunity to help its members overcome these challenges and promote their diverse career opportunities. IPRA engaged Street Level Studio’s creative team to help them launch an innovative Workforce Recruitment Initiative. For the project, we crafted a marketing strategy, created a fresh “Take a Walk in the Park” campaign, produced recruitment videos, and developed a toolkit of customizable digital resources for members featuring posters, flyers, social media posts, and banner ads. Reaction—and applicant response—to the program has been resoundingly positive, reinforcing IPRA’s position as a forward-thinking association helping its members build a diverse, resilient workforce.
