Best Apps for the Halloween Season

Halloween is almost here! When we’re not filling up on candy corn, we’re glued to our phones, exploring these festive mobile apps…

No Man’s Land and Dead Yourself – AMC’s The Walking Dead knows what they’re doing when it comes to zombies and entertaining apps. They recently launched their official mobile game, No Man’s Land, which throws you into zombie-occupied terrain on a mission to stay alive. But the app we really love is Dead Yourself, where you can zombify a photo of yourself and share it with friends.

PopSugar Halloween – Still don’t have a costume for Halloween? Not to worry. PopSugar, the women’s lifestyle brand, has created an app complete with everything you need to find, craft, or create your costume. This app is helping us find a costume that includes sweatpants, but it’s also one of multiple marketing efforts that has allowed PopSugar to reach one in every three millennial women in the United States.

Carve-a-Pumpkin – For the kiddos that are too young for all the Halloween activities, there’s the Parents® magazine Carve-a-Pumpkin app. Get the full experience of pumpkin carving with a safer approach and less clean-up. Parents magazine is getting into the spirit with additional Halloween content on their site for a multi-faceted, engaging marketing approach.

Vivino – Vivino, the world’s largest wine app, helps you choose the right wine for every situation. They recently released their Candy & Wine Match Maker, a guide to pairing Halloween candy with your favorite wine. Perfect for digging into the kids’ candy stash after they go to bed!

Treatster – Though not a mobile app, we love Target’s new Treatster website. It lets you see where the must-visit houses are in your neighborhood, so you don’t miss out on the best treats, decorations, or costumes. Mobile-friendly (of course!), Treatster was released along with Target’s 360° haunted YouTube adventure.
