When not pounding the keyboard, Jay is likely getting pummeled on the mat. He has a black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
A familiar face in Chicago, Jay spent decades here honing his craft as a writer, editor, and educator. With an MA in Writing from DePaul University, his career experience includes stints at several Michigan Avenue advertising and PR agencies, the Chicago Tribune, National Public Radio, The Second City, and here at Street Level Studio. Jay also taught writing and research classes at Columbia College, Strayer University, and Montgomery (MD) College. Now back on our creative team as Content Director, Jay uses his experience to create content that delivers for our clients and gets their message across with precision, clarity, and impact.
